First, start with a light jog or walking briskly for 5-10 minutes.

As you jog/walk, focus on moving your arms as well; this will help activate the muscles in your shoulders and upper back which are used during golf swings. Once you’ve finished jogging/walking, stretch out all of the major muscle groups in the body (legs, back, chest, shoulders). Hold each stretch for 15-20 seconds and repeat 2-3 times per area. This will help loosen up any tightness in the body that could hamper good swings later on.
Next, move onto dynamic stretching.
Dynamic stretching uses movement to improve flexibility rather than static stretching which is done by holding a position for an extended period of time. Examples of dynamic stretches include arm circles (forward & backward), leg swings (front & side), trunk twists, etc. These stretches should be done slowly but fluidly; do not jerk into positions quickly or forcefully as this can cause injury if done improperly!
Finally, once you’ve stretched properly, do some practice swings with a club before hitting balls at the driving range or tee box on the course itself. The practice swings will give you an idea of how far and accurately you can hit with each club without having to literally hit balls every time you want to check your swing path/distance—this will save time and money at the driving range!
